Drainage
The burckhardt’s drainage system is unique in the field of frameless windows and can perfectly be adjusted to various structural conditions.
There is no danger of leakage of the profiles due to its geometry and its production process in one piece. The rear parts can thus be drained easily.
burckhardt’s glide scores with an internal drainage system and can be completed with an additional drain channel.
Frame drainage
Through drainage channel
The drainage through a drainage channel installed below the fibreglass frame makes a controlled water absorption and runoff of all rails possible. The exterior sleeve is built in a way to ensure a controlled water runoff of the facade.
Drainage through cap or nozzle
Both drainage types benefit from the fact that the fibreglass blind frame generally has smooth edges in the area of the water flow through milling. The water does not have to overcome barriers (isolation bars) and can be drained to the outside in a controlled way. A big advantage in this drainage technique is given by the fact that the water can easily run off of different slope plateaus of terrace sub-constructions.
Drainage through drainage gutters.

With the help of the wide drainage gutter the occurring water is collected in front of the window and is led away from the facade in a controlled way. The drainage seems to be from one piece thanks to its connection to the fibreglass frame.

For you as a demanding customer we also offer a narrow drainage gutter. In combination with the main drainage of the fibreglass frame through caps or nozzles we offer a convincing alternative to the conventional slotted channel.
We gladly provide personal advise and find a solution according to the DIN-norm.
